Spiritsong’s
lifelong love of music has frequently led her into unusual experiences. She
began singing in a traveling gospel trio at age six, and lasted nearly three
days in a juried piano marathon at 19. She also performed at a World Peace Day
celebration at the Asheville Civic Center.
Spiritsong
(also known as Mary O’Shannon) brings decades of experience to the stage. Her
full-bodied vocals, accomplished keyboard playing and original songs have been
heard in venues as diverse as Asheville’s Bele Chere Festival and the Science
of Mind churches where she served as music minister.
